Marco Falconi holds two Master degrees in Environmental Science (2001) and in Geology (2010) both achieved at University of Urbino (Italy). He has been working with ISPRA (Italian Institute for Environmental Protection and Research) since 2003.
An extensive professional path acquired in leading multinational firms such as Bureau Veritas and China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) Energy and Environmental Protection Working Group (EEWPG) as Vice Coordinator. Today taking lead roles in a wide range of high-profile organizations and green projects, such as: Green Building Council Italia as national vice president and Board Member; Re-Mind as Real Estate Manufacturing Area Director; Montagne Italia Foundation as Scientific Committee Member; Federesco International Partnership as Executive Board Member; National Association of Recycled Aggregate Producers (ANPAR) as national Board Member; member of the teaching staff of the PhD course in Environment Sustainability and Well-being of the University of Ferrara; Ongreening.com, the Platform for Green Building Professionals, as Associate and President of the Advisory Board; member of the Working Group on Minimum Environmental Criteria for Construction (CAM Edilizia / CAM Strade) within the Ministry of the Environment (MATTM) for GBC Italia.
Manager Technologist at ISPRA. Responsible for the Environmental Technical Standardization Area which works in support of the ISPRA General Management. Previously, he was responsible for more than 10 years of environmental control for industrial plants subject to the Integrated Environmental Authorization (AIA). In this role he has managed over 450 inspections in large industrial installations in Italy. Before taking on the responsibilities of industrial inspections, Alfredo Pini was responsible for ISPRA's support for the issue of the AIA. He is a technical consultant for judicial, civil and criminal authorities and is a member of some EU working groups.
