Geosismica

Geosismica is the RemTechExpo technical-scientific community dedicated to risk mitigationInstitutions, Universities, Research Centers, Associations, Private Sector, innovative start-ups meet periodically on topics of common interest.

We are discussing the High Council of Public Works guidelines about the structural monitoring of bridges and viaducts, we are working on the proposal of a framework to coordinate the reconstruction after natural disasters, we are spreading the application of sustainability protocols and the role of the GBC - Green Building Council Italia for the territory sustainable development, we are involved in the stabilization of tax benefits for building and urban regeneration, as well as the drafting of new seismic hazard maps that will deeply impact the planning.

Our Working Group is coordinated by Eng. Gianluca Loffredo and Dr. Valerio Comerci of ISPRA and develops an innovative path with a qualified and wide Technical-Scientific Community. Geosismica takes shape thanks to a copious group of experts. In its ability to combine the presentation of ideas, products, projects and solutions with moments dedicated to in-depth analysis, sharing, meeting between supply and demand, Geosismica has launched some calls for abstracts, to embrace and give space to innovation.

BRIDGES AND VIADUCTS MONITORING

The occurrence of dramatic events linked to infrastructure collapses has highlighted the critical condition of the national infrastructure network. In this context, a tool of fundamental importance is represented by Structural Monitoring. The identification of the condition and performance of the structures and their evolution during time is what we want to work on, in order to establish their state of health in real time, providing appropriate input to the decision-makers for the implementation of appropriate countermeasures.
