It is the new specialized Focus dedicated to the key issues of hydrogeological instability and hydraulic risk in the light of the increased frequency and intensity of calamitous meteorological and climatic events, and of future scenarios of climate change.

With reference to hydrographic basins, riverbeds and torrential courses, and to marine and coastal areas, the topics of interest span monitoring, prevention and intervention measures against erosion and landslides, prevention and management of flood risk, and those related to the use of water bodies influenced by hydraulic risk, such as fluvial navigation and tourism, protected areas and other recreational applications. A particular attention is payed to the state and problems of implementation of the Flood Directive, as well. The conference sessions, the training courses and the workshops are held by eminent foreign and Italian speakers, representing both the public and the private sector (leader companies), while the exhibition area presents the most important innovations.
